Hvar is one of Croatia's most popular event destinations — and one of the most challenging for AV logistics. The combination of ferry-dependent transport, limited power infrastructure at many venues, coastal weather exposure, and remote access routes means that every event requires careful advance planning.
We have been running events on Hvar since 2019. We know which ferry routes to book, which venues have reliable power, where generators need to be positioned, and how to get equipment to clifftop terraces that are only accessible by foot. This experience prevents the surprises that catch first-time island event producers off guard.

Open-air, waterfront. Wind and salt spray. Sound curfews vary by location (typically 01:00-02:00).

Hvar Island Events FAQ
How do you get equipment to Hvar?
We take the catamaran or car ferry from Split. For most events, we arrive the day before to allow time for setup and contingency. All equipment is packed in road cases designed for ferry transport. We carry complete backup systems since returning to Split same-day is not always possible.
What if the ferry is cancelled due to weather?
Adriatic ferries can be cancelled when winds exceed safe thresholds. We always plan to arrive at least 24 hours before the event. For high-season bookings, we may pre-position equipment on the island earlier in the week. We monitor weather forecasts continuously and communicate proactively with clients about any risks.
Can you provide a DJ as well as equipment?
Yes. Several of our DJs have extensive experience playing at Hvar venues. We can provide a complete package including DJ, equipment, setup, and on-site technical support. Having our DJ use our equipment eliminates compatibility issues and simplifies logistics.
What about power for remote beach locations?
For locations without reliable power, we bring battery-powered speaker systems (Soundboks, Bose S1 Pro Plus) that deliver professional sound without any power infrastructure. For larger events requiring more power, we coordinate generator rental on the island and bring our own power distribution equipment.
Is there an island logistics surcharge?
Yes. Hvar events include a logistics fee covering ferry transport, crew accommodation, and extended setup time. This typically adds EUR 200-400 depending on the event scope and location on the island.
