Venue Guide

Blue Lagoon

AV guide for events at Croatia's famous Blue Lagoon. Boat parties, private beach setups, and island celebrations in one of the Adriatic's most spectacular natural venues.

Turquoise waters, zero infrastructure — pure battery-powered production in paradise.

The Ultimate Off-Grid Venue

The Blue Lagoon sits between the islands of Drvenik Veli and Drvenik Mali, about 20km west of Split. It is accessible only by boat. There are no roads, no permanent buildings (apart from a seasonal beach bar), and no power infrastructure. It is, essentially, a stunningly beautiful patch of turquoise sea surrounded by rocks and wild vegetation.

This makes it one of the most spectacular event locations in Croatia — and one of the most challenging for production. Everything arrives by boat, everything runs on batteries, and everything must survive salt water, wind, and sun. Our battery-powered equipment inventory was specifically curated for venues exactly like this.

Permanent AV at Haven Beach Bar

Haven Beach Bar is the only permanent venue at the Blue Lagoon, and we designed and installed their audio system. Bose speakers are integrated into the natural stone and wood architecture, delivering clear sound across the bar and beach areas while blending seamlessly with the environment.

For events at Haven, the house system handles ambient and background music. For larger parties and DJ events, we supplement with our portable battery-powered equipment to extend coverage to the beach and water areas.

Blue Lagoon Events FAQ

How do you get equipment to the Blue Lagoon?

All equipment travels by boat from Split or Trogir. We coordinate with the boat charter company to ensure equipment is loaded safely in waterproof flight cases. For larger events, we may use a separate equipment tender. Everything must be carried on and off by hand at the lagoon itself — there are no docks or loading facilities.

What happens if the weather turns bad?

The Blue Lagoon is sheltered from most wind directions, but Bura (northeasterly) can make the crossing rough. We monitor weather 72 hours out and communicate with clients about conditions. If seas are unsafe, boat charters are cancelled regardless — in which case we work with event planners to activate backup venues on the mainland.

Is there any power at the Blue Lagoon?

The seasonal beach bar (Haven Blue Lagoon) has generator power, but capacity is limited and shared with bar operations. For private beach setups elsewhere in the lagoon, there is zero power infrastructure. Our battery-powered equipment inventory was specifically built for venues like this — professional sound with no power requirements whatsoever.

Can a DJ perform on a boat?

Yes. Our DJs regularly perform on catamarans and yachts. We use the Denon Prime GO (battery-powered, standalone DJ controller) paired with Soundboks speakers. This setup requires zero power cables, zero external devices, and delivers surprisingly powerful sound on deck. The DJ needs a stable, shaded position — we coordinate with the boat captain on optimal placement.

What about salt water and equipment damage?

Salt water is the enemy of electronics. Our Blue Lagoon equipment is specifically selected for water resistance — Soundboks speakers are IP65-rated, and all cables use marine-grade connectors. After every lagoon event, all equipment undergoes freshwater rinse-down and inspection. We factor this accelerated maintenance into our pricing.

Planning an event at the Blue Lagoon?

Paradise requires preparation. We bring the sound — battery-powered, waterproof, and ready for the most spectacular natural venue in Croatia.
