  • Professional grade

When a touring DJ steps behind the decks at a 250-guest Dalmatian estate wedding and finds the exact same setup they would see at a London or Berlin club — that first look of recognition is worth everything. The Grand Celebration System brings club-standard Pioneer decks and mixer to your Croatian event, paired with Bose L1 Pro 16 line arrays that project clear, powerful sound across large terraces, hotel courtyards, and open-air dance floors. This is the system that professional touring DJs expect to see when they arrive at a gig — industry-standard CDJ 2000 Nexus II players and a DJM 900 Nexus II mixer, compatible with every USB stick and every DJ workflow.

Experience Profile

  • Guest Count: 150-300
  • Setting: Estate weddings, hotel courtyards, beach clubs, large terrace receptions, corporate galas
  • Atmosphere: Full hospitality standard — commanding presence with studio-grade clarity
  • Why This System: The international DJ rider standard. Any touring DJ in the world will recognise this setup and perform at their best. Our most-requested configuration for destination wedding receptions in the 150-300 guest range. We carry this configuration for weddings and events hosting 150 to 300 guests where the DJ experience needs to match the quality of the venue. Whether your celebration is at a restored Dalmatian estate, a Split waterfront hotel, or a beachfront venue near Dubrovnik, this set delivers the audio quality and DJ functionality that defines professional events. The separate CDJ and mixer format means any guest DJ can step behind the decks with their own USB stick and perform as they would in any club anywhere in the world.

What’s Included

  • 2x Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus II — industry-standard media players with 7-inch touchscreen, USB/SD/Link playback, and Pro DJ Link networking
  • Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus II — 4-channel club mixer with 64-bit digital processing, dual USB sound cards, and Send/Return FX
  • 2x Bose L1 Pro 16 — professional portable line array with integrated sub, 180-degree horizontal coverage, and RaceTrack driver technology
  • DJ table — sturdy folding table at 90 cm height
  • All XLR cables, power cables, and speaker positioning stands

The Complete System Explained

The Grand Celebration System separates the DJ workflow into individual components, mirroring the setup found in professional clubs worldwide. Each Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus II functions as an independent media player with its own 7-inch touchscreen, jog wheel, and track browsing interface. Music is loaded from USB sticks or SD cards, and when both CDJs are connected via Ethernet (included), Pro DJ Link enables the two decks to share a single music library and display track information across both screens simultaneously.

The two CDJs feed into the Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus II mixer, which provides four input channels (two active for the CDJs, two spare for additional sources such as a microphone or laptop), 64-bit digital summing, onboard effects (reverb, delay, echo, and more), and dual USB sound cards for recording or connecting to DJ software. The mixer’s master output sends a balanced XLR signal to the two Bose L1 Pro 16 line array speakers.

Each L1 Pro 16 is a full-range column speaker system. Sixteen articulated neodymium drivers are arranged vertically in the array section, powered by an integrated amplifier, with a RaceTrack bass module at the base that extends low-frequency response down to 37 Hz. The 180-degree horizontal dispersion ensures that the audience experiences consistent volume and tone quality across the width of the venue, from guests directly in front to those standing at the far sides of a terrace or courtyard.

The combination of CDJ 2000 NXS2 decks, DJM 900 NXS2 mixer, and L1 Pro 16 arrays creates a system that is universally compatible with professional DJs and powerful enough to drive a dance floor for 300 guests. The CDJ/DJM format is the global industry standard, and the L1 Pro 16 is the highest-output speaker in the Bose portable line array range.

How It Works

We deliver, set up, and sound-check the full system at your venue. Setup takes approximately 35 minutes. The two Bose L1 Pro 16 columns are positioned to cover the main event area while the DJ booth (table, 2x CDJs, mixer) sits at the designated DJ position. You need to provide 230V/50Hz mains power — two outlets within 20 metres of the setup, or we can run from a single 16A circuit using our power distribution board. The DJ booth footprint is approximately 1.8 m x 0.7 m. We handle island delivery via ferry and coordinate timing with your venue contact.

Sound Coverage and Venue Matching

The Bose L1 Pro 16 is the most powerful speaker in the Bose portable line array family, and a pair of them covers a wide range of venue sizes and layouts typical of Croatian destination events.

Indoor venues (hotel ballrooms, estate halls, fortress interior rooms): A pair of L1 Pro 16 columns fills a room of up to 350 square metres with even, controlled sound. The vertical line array design reduces reflections from stone walls and high ceilings, which is a significant advantage in Dalmatian heritage venues where acoustics can be challenging. We typically position the columns at the edges of the dance floor, angled slightly outward.

Outdoor terraces and courtyards: In open air, the pair covers approximately 250-300 square metres at dance-floor volume. For large terraces or villa gardens, we position the columns 8-12 metres apart. The 180-degree dispersion ensures coverage extends well beyond the area directly between the speakers.

Guest count guidance: 150-250 guests is the comfort zone for this set, with ample headroom for peak moments. At 250-300 guests, the system performs well in enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces but leaves less margin in fully open-air venues. If your outdoor event approaches 300 guests with a large dance floor, the Prestige Production System with Bose F1 arrays provides additional power and adjustable coverage patterns.

Speaker placement: The L1 Pro 16 columns perform well flanking a dance floor, positioned at the front corners of the main event area, or placed behind the DJ booth facing the audience. Their slim profile means they integrate visually into most venue settings without obstruction.

Setup Timeline

  • Minute 0-8: Unload equipment and position the DJ table. Unpack the two L1 Pro 16 columns from their transport cases and begin assembly (base, extension, array section).
  • Minute 8-18: Mount the two CDJ 2000 NXS2 decks and the DJM 900 NXS2 mixer on the DJ table. Connect the CDJs to the mixer via audio and Ethernet cables. Position the assembled L1 Pro 16 columns at their planned locations.
  • Minute 18-28: Run XLR cables from the mixer master output to each column. Connect all power cables to the 230V outlets or distribution board.
  • Minute 28-35: Power on the system. Perform a sound check: test playback at moderate volume through both columns, walk the venue to verify coverage, adjust column positions or gain if needed. System is live.

For island events, we arrive on an early ferry with at least a 2-hour buffer before setup time. During peak season (July and August), we book vehicle ferry slots in advance on routes like Split-to-Hvar and Split-to-Brač. The L1 Pro 16 columns transport in padded cases that handle ferry loading without issue. For venues accessed via steep paths or narrow old-town streets, we hand-carry equipment from the nearest vehicle drop point — each column section is designed for individual transport.

How This Set Compares

The Grand Celebration System sits between the Signature Event System at 350 EUR and the Prestige Production System at 950 EUR. The Medium set uses the Pioneer XDJ-XZ all-in-one controller with Bose L1 Pro 8 columns, covering up to 150 guests. It is the right choice for events in the 80-150 guest range where a single-unit controller meets the DJ’s workflow needs.

The Pro set upgrades to Pioneer CDJ 3000 decks and the DJM-A9 mixer — the current flagship models — paired with Bose F1 Flexible Array speakers that offer adjustable coverage patterns. It covers up to 500 guests and is designed for premium events where the DJ requires the newest technology and the venue demands adaptable sound projection.

Choose the Standard set when your event is in the 150-300 guest range, your DJ requires the industry-standard CDJ/DJM format (which most touring DJs prefer), and you want powerful line array coverage without the premium price of flagship decks. This is our most-requested configuration for destination wedding receptions.

Croatian Event Planning Guide

Season and weather: The Standard set is in highest demand from June through September. Summer events in Croatia are predominantly outdoor, and the L1 Pro 16 columns are designed for open-air deployment. For events in May, early June, or October, we recommend contingency planning for rain — the DJ booth should be positioned under a canopy, pergola, or marquee. The L1 Pro 16 columns are weather-resistant but should not be left in sustained heavy rain.

Bura wind planning: The Bura affects the entire Croatian coast, with particular intensity around Makarska, Split, and the northern Adriatic islands. The L1 Pro 16 columns are tall (2.1 metres assembled) and can be affected by sustained gusts above 50 km/h. We provide weighted bases and secure straps for exposed venues. If a strong Bura warning is issued for your event day, we consult with your venue coordinator about sheltered positioning options.

Island logistics: This set fits in a single vehicle for ferry transport. We serve all major Dalmatian islands — Hvar, Brač, Korčula, Vis, Šolta, Mljet — as well as Kvarner islands by arrangement. Vehicle ferry bookings are confirmed as soon as your rental is finalised. For venues on islands with limited road access (Vis old town, Korčula old town), we coordinate hand-carry logistics in advance.

Noise regulations and venue compliance: Events at Croatian venues must comply with local noise ordinances, which typically restrict amplified music after 23:00 in residential areas. The L1 Pro 16 system is powerful enough to exceed these limits, so we work with your venue and DJ to set appropriate levels. For noise-sensitive locations, we can configure a volume limiter on the mixer output.

Power infrastructure: The full system draws approximately 1,200W, well within a single 16A circuit (3,680W capacity). However, we recommend confirming that your venue’s electrical supply is stable and that outlets are accessible within 20 metres of the DJ position. Older Croatian villas and estates sometimes have limited wiring capacity — if the venue is also running catering equipment, air conditioning, or lighting on the same circuit, we bring a dedicated distribution board and may recommend a separate circuit.

Commonly Asked

Do I need a technician for the Grand Celebration System?

For most events, no. Any professional DJ will be immediately at home with this setup. We sound-check before departure and provide WhatsApp support. For events over 250 guests or complex multi-zone audio, we recommend adding a technician to manage levels throughout the evening.

Can this set work outdoors in Croatia?

Yes. The Bose L1 Pro 16 line arrays are built for outdoor deployment and resist wind displacement better than conventional speakers due to their vertical line array design. We routinely set up this system at exposed coastal venues. We advise sheltering the CDJs and mixer under a canopy or pergola.

What are the power requirements for this set?

Standard Croatian 230V/50Hz mains power. Total system draw is approximately 1200W. A single 16A circuit is sufficient. We supply a power distribution board and 20-metre extension cables as part of the delivery.

How far in advance should I book the Grand Celebration System?

We recommend booking at least 4-6 weeks ahead during peak season (June through September). This is our most popular set for destination wedding receptions, and weekend availability fills up early. For midweek events or off-season bookings, shorter lead times are usually possible.

Can individual components be swapped or customised?

Yes. If your DJ prefers the CDJ 3000 decks over the CDJ 2000 NXS2, we can upgrade — this effectively moves you to the Prestige Production System. If you want different speakers (for example, the Garden & Courtyard System with Pioneer XPRS monitors and sub for a bass-heavier experience), we can build a custom configuration. Contact us with your requirements.

What if equipment fails during the event?

All components are tested and inspected before every delivery. In the event of a hardware failure, our WhatsApp support line provides immediate troubleshooting. The DJM 900 NXS2 mixer has multiple input options, so a backup phone or laptop can be connected as an emergency audio source. For mainland events, we can dispatch replacement equipment within 60-90 minutes. For island events, the backup input options ensure music continues while we coordinate.

Does island delivery cost extra?

Delivery to major islands (Hvar, Brač, Korčula, Vis, Šolta, Mljet) is included in the base rental price. Remote islands with additional ferry connections carry a surcharge for ferry tickets and extended travel. The exact cost is provided at booking.

Can this set run without a DJ using a playlist?

The CDJ 2000 NXS2 decks support USB playback with basic track sequencing, but the system is designed for a live DJ. For playlist-only operation, the DJM 900 NXS2 mixer accepts a direct aux or USB input from a phone or laptop. We recommend a DJ for events of this scale, as managing volume levels, speech transitions, and dance-floor energy requires a professional presence.
