A bride walks barefoot across white pebbles on a Hvar cove, the ceremony backed by music that seems to emerge from the landscape itself — no cables, no generator hum, no visible infrastructure. The Coastal Ceremony System exists because we learned early that Croatia’s most breathtaking venues share one thing in common: no power outlets. This fully battery-powered system delivers professional DJ control in places where elegance depends on invisibility — clifftop villas, pine-shaded island beaches, catamaran decks, and fortress terraces where running cables would shatter the atmosphere. We carry this set specifically because so many destination wedding venues in Croatia have no reliable power at the ceremony or drinks reception location. From the pine-shaded coves of Hvar to the pebble beaches of Brač, this system travels wherever your event takes it.

Experience Profile

  • Guest Count: Up to 50
  • Setting: Beach ceremonies, clifftop villas, boat parties, garden first-dances, off-grid terraces
  • Atmosphere: Intimate, discreet, seamlessly integrated into the landscape
  • Why This System: When the venue has no power and the experience demands that technology remains invisible. Zero-infrastructure elegance for ceremonies and cocktail hours where the setting is the star. The entire system weighs under 20 kg combined, fits into two carry cases, and requires zero infrastructure on arrival. For wedding planners coordinating multi-location days — a beachside ceremony followed by a terrace cocktail hour — this is the only set in our inventory that moves between locations in minutes without any logistical overhead. Every component runs on its own internal battery, so the only planning you need is a flat surface and an idea of where your guests will gather.

What’s Included

  • Denon Prime GO — standalone 2-deck DJ system with 7-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi streaming, and a built-in rechargeable battery rated for approximately 4 hours of continuous mixing
  • Soundboks Gen.3 — 126 dB portable Bluetooth speaker with a 40-hour battery, IP65-rated for dust and rain resistance, weighing 15.4 kg
  • All necessary audio cables and a carry case

The Complete System Explained

The signal chain in this set is deliberately simple, which is what makes it so reliable in unpredictable outdoor environments. The Denon Prime GO serves as both the music source and the mixing console. It houses two virtual decks, a crossfader, EQ per channel, and effects — all powered by an internal lithium-ion battery. Music is loaded via USB stick, SD card, or streamed over Wi-Fi from services like Tidal, SoundCloud, and Beatport LINK. The DJ mixes tracks on the Prime GO and sends a single stereo output via a 3.5 mm-to-6.3 mm cable into the Soundboks Gen.3.

The Soundboks then handles all amplification and projection. Its internal 72V lithium-ion battery powers a tri-amped Class D amplifier driving a single 10-inch woofer and a 1-inch compression tweeter. Despite its compact size, it produces 126 dB peak output — enough to fill a beach ceremony area or a villa terrace for 50 guests without strain. The IP65 rating means it is sealed against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, which matters when sea spray or afternoon rain showers are a real possibility on the Croatian coast.

We pair these two specific components because they share a design philosophy: professional audio quality in a battery-powered, portable form factor. The Denon Prime GO is the only standalone DJ console on the market with a built-in battery and full touchscreen workflow, and the Soundboks Gen.3 is the loudest portable Bluetooth speaker available with genuine IP65 protection. Together, they create a zero-infrastructure audio system that a DJ can operate at full professional standard without compromise.

Ideal For

  • Beach wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours for up to 50 guests
  • Boat and catamaran parties where 230V shore power is unavailable
  • Remote island venues accessible only by ferry (we handle the logistics)
  • Garden first-dance moments or surprise proposal setups
  • Pre-dinner background DJ sets at open-air terraces

How It Works

We deliver the set to your venue anywhere in coastal Croatia, including islands reachable by ferry. Setup takes roughly 15 minutes: place the Soundboks on its stand, power on the Denon Prime GO, and connect the single audio cable. No tables, no power outlets, and no technician required. Your DJ (or any guest with a Spotify account via Wi-Fi streaming) can be playing within minutes. We recommend charging both units to 100% the night before, which we handle as part of our delivery prep.

Sound Coverage and Venue Matching

The Soundboks Gen.3 delivers 126 dB peak SPL, which translates to comfortable, clear coverage for up to 50 seated or standing guests in a typical outdoor setting. For a beach ceremony where guests are arranged in rows facing the officiant, a single Soundboks placed near the front covers approximately 10 metres of depth and 8 metres of width at conversational-to-music volume. For cocktail-style events where guests move freely around a terrace or garden, the effective coverage area is roughly 80 square metres.

Indoor spaces such as a small villa dining room or a stone-walled konoba amplify the sound naturally, so the same speaker comfortably fills a room of 60-70 square metres. In these enclosed environments, we typically reduce the volume by 20-30 percent compared to outdoor levels.

For events that push the 50-guest boundary, consider the layout. A tightly grouped cocktail crowd of 50 on a narrow terrace works well. A spread-out garden party of 50 across a large lawn may leave guests at the edges straining to hear. In those cases, adding a second Soundboks Gen.3 as a stereo pair — available as an upgrade option — extends coverage significantly and creates a more immersive stereo image. If your guest count is consistently above 50 or you want a dance floor with real presence, the Intimate Gathering System with Bose S1 Pro speakers on mains power is the appropriate step up.

Setup Timeline

  • Minute 0-5: Unpack the carry cases. Place the Soundboks on its optional stand or on a flat surface at the desired location. Position the Denon Prime GO on any stable table, ledge, or flat rock — it is compact enough to sit on a bar counter.
  • Minute 5-10: Connect the single audio cable from the Prime GO headphone/main output to the Soundboks aux input. Power on both units.
  • Minute 10-15: The DJ loads a USB stick or connects to Wi-Fi for streaming. A brief level check confirms output is balanced. The system is live.

For island deliveries, our timeline extends by the duration of the ferry crossing. We typically arrive on the earliest morning ferry to your island, giving us a buffer of several hours before the event. On popular routes like Split-to-Hvar or Split-to-Brač, we book vehicle ferry tickets in advance during peak summer season (June through September) to avoid sold-out crossings. For smaller islands served by catamaran only, we hand-carry the equipment — both units are designed for exactly this kind of portability.

How This Set Compares

The Coastal Ceremony System sits at one end of our DJ set range, purpose-built for portability and zero-power operation. One tier up, the Intimate Gathering System at 250 EUR introduces the Pioneer XDJ-RX3 controller with a pair of Bose S1 Pro speakers on stands, covering up to 80 guests with stereo sound and a proper DJ table. The Small set requires 230V mains power and a 20-minute setup, but it delivers significantly more volume, stereo imaging, and a full-size controller that most DJs prefer for longer sets.

Choose the Battery set when your venue has no power whatsoever, your guest count is under 50, or the event segment is under 4 hours (such as a ceremony or cocktail hour). Choose the Small set when you have access to at least one power outlet and want a fuller sound for dancing or a longer evening programme. Many of our clients book both: the Battery set for a beach ceremony in the afternoon, and the Small or Medium set for the mains-powered reception that follows at the venue.

Croatian Event Planning Guide

Peak season (June-September): This is when the Coastal Ceremony System sees most of its use. Afternoon ceremonies on Dalmatian beaches and island clifftops are the core use case. Temperatures can exceed 35 degrees Celsius in July and August — the Denon Prime GO and Soundboks both operate within their thermal limits at these temperatures, but we recommend keeping the DJ console in shade to preserve battery life and screen visibility.

Bura wind contingency: The Bura, a strong northeasterly wind common along the Croatian coast, can arrive with little warning. The Soundboks weighs 15.4 kg, which gives it reasonable stability, but on an exposed beach or clifftop we secure it with a sand-weighted base or position it against a wall. The Denon Prime GO is light enough to require anchoring if Bura gusts exceed 50 km/h — we provide a non-slip mat as standard.

Island logistics: Ferry schedules dictate delivery timing. For events on islands like Hvar, Vis, Korčula, or Brač, we plan around the ferry timetable and always book the earliest available crossing. During July and August, vehicle ferry slots sell out days in advance on popular routes, so we confirm transport as soon as your booking is finalised.

Noise considerations: Croatian noise regulations vary by municipality, but most coastal areas restrict amplified music after 23:00 in residential zones. The Battery set, with its moderate output, rarely approaches these limits. For events near residential properties, we advise checking with your venue coordinator about local rules.

Multi-day weddings: If your celebration spans multiple days — a welcome party on day one, ceremony and reception on day two, farewell brunch on day three — this set is ideal for the smaller gatherings on days one and three, while a larger system covers the main reception.

Upgrade Options

  • Add a second Soundboks Gen.3 for stereo coverage on wider terraces
  • Add Chauvet Freedom Q9 battery-powered uplights to match the wireless concept
  • Pair with the Shure GLXD24 wireless microphone for speeches — also battery-powered

Commonly Asked

Do I need a technician for the Coastal Ceremony System?

No. This set is designed for self-service. We provide a one-page setup guide and a WhatsApp support line on the day. Most DJs are already familiar with the Denon Prime GO.

Can this battery-powered set work outdoors in Croatia?

Yes, it is specifically designed for outdoor use. The Soundboks Gen.3 carries an IP65 rating, meaning it handles rain, dust, and Bura wind gusts without issue. We recommend angling the speaker away from direct sea spray.

What are the power requirements for this set?

None. Both the DJ console and the speaker run entirely on internal batteries. The Denon Prime GO lasts approximately 4 hours, and the Soundboks lasts up to 40 hours. For longer events, we can supply a portable power bank as a backup.

How far in advance should I book the Coastal Ceremony System?

We recommend booking at least 4 weeks ahead for events during peak season (June through September). We carry limited battery-powered inventory, and island events in particular require early ferry logistics coordination. Off-season bookings can often be confirmed within a week.

Can I swap or customise individual components in this set?

The set is configured as a matched pair for reliability, but we can accommodate specific requests. If your DJ prefers a different controller, we can discuss alternatives — though the Denon Prime GO is currently the only professional DJ console with a built-in battery. If you need a different speaker, the Bose S1 Pro Plus offers battery operation at lower volume.

What happens if equipment fails during my event?

We test all battery levels and audio connections before every delivery. In the unlikely event of a hardware issue, our WhatsApp support line provides immediate troubleshooting guidance. The Soundboks Gen.3 has a Bluetooth backup mode, so any guest can stream directly from a phone while we arrange a replacement. For events on the mainland, we can deliver a swap unit within 60-90 minutes. Island events carry a slightly longer response window, which is why we recommend the Bluetooth backup as a first line of contingency.

How much does island delivery cost?

Island delivery is included in the rental price for islands reachable by the major ferry routes from Split, Dubrovnik, or Zadar (Hvar, Brač, Korčula, Vis, Šolta, Mljet). For more remote islands or those requiring multiple ferry connections, we add a transport surcharge that covers ferry tickets and additional travel time. We confirm the exact cost at booking.

Can guests play music from their phones without a DJ?

Yes. The Soundboks Gen.3 has Bluetooth 5.0, and the Denon Prime GO supports Wi-Fi streaming. If you do not have a DJ, a guest can pair their phone to the Soundboks directly and play from any music app. Alternatively, we can pre-load a curated playlist on a USB stick for the Denon Prime GO, giving you crossfade transitions and volume control without a DJ present.
